Uniekaas® Vintage Gouda 5® Year is a special cheese that is naturally matured on wooden shelves day by day, month by month, year by year up for 5 years. Like a good whisky, the strong and powerful taste can only be developed with time. With a similar texture to that of a Parmigiano-Reggiano; and a combination of sweet butterscotch and a hint of saltiness, this cheese is for those who aren’t afraid of a punch of flavor. It is an excellent substitute for grating cheeses and will caramelize beautifully.
